Munax XE has a long range of new technologies compared to our initial system Munax P1 (July 2005) such as: * System-wide, distributed bitmaps * Individual output fields for html templates * Recognition & processing of the latest html tags * Video thumbnail and animation processing * URL repository post processing * Backup and restoring of index only For the video processing, Munax XE downloads fractions of the video files it finds and re-processes them to still picture thumbnail images and MPEG-4 compressed video clips. "For the search results, we can now show Videos not only as text links but as thumbnail images as well as small video clips. Customers can decide if they want show the results as stills or as clips. Some customers may choose to show all video results as clips, which adds a whole new dimension to how search results shall be experienced by the visitors", says Jan-Olof Granlund.
